10 Foods Women Should Eat

I’m not quite sure how I came across Splendora weeks ago, but it is a brilliant idea. It is a daily blog and weekly newsletter about all things cool before they hit the mainstream. A few weeks ago, I came across one of their postings about 10 Foods Women Should Eat and thought I would share it with you. Personally, I was surprised at how many of the foods I typically eat and enjoy! My favorite on the list is raw cacao, and yes, they explain the link between our love of chocolate and our craving for it during “that time of the month.” Other items include steel cut oatmeal (no, Quaker Instant Oats does not fit in this category!), avocado, and blueberries. Click on the link to learn about all 10 foods and why they are so important for your health!

By the way, if your first thought when you saw avocado on this list was, “Yum! Guacamole!,” but then gave it a second thought because too much of it is not so good for you, let me share a tip.  Make your guacamole with half avocado and half shelled green peas, which makes it richer in healthy proteins and cuts down the fat!  Click here for one recipe to try.

Tomorrow, I will share my favorite recipe for brunch. Perhaps you can invite some friends over this weekend and try it out.

Happy, healthy eating!

About georgiegirlconfections

I've always dreamed of starting my own business one day. My struggle wasn't about how to do it, but instead, what I wanted to do. I realized how much I love baking - it is what I turn to when I am bored or stressed. There are so many things to create and so many ways in which to create them. I look forward to sharing my favorite treats with you.
