Just Be

Do you sometimes feel like you are trying so hard to be something, whether it be smarter, more interesting, more well-read, peaceful, prettier, a better parent/daughter, or whatever else comes to mind?  I know I do.  I think it is something wired in women’s brains.  Rather than giving some long-winded list of ideas and suggestions, I’d like to play with a very simple idea – JUST BE!

I invite each of to join me in the idea of just being.  What would happen if we stopped trying so hard to be [insert your desire here]?  What if we accepted who we are, the situation we are currently in, and our surroundings?  What if we stopped trying to do something?  What would happen?  Would the world fall apart?  Or more importantly, would we?  Frankly, I have a feeling everything would be just fine, and we might surprise ourselves.

Let’s do it!  Let’s just be.  How will we do this?  First, let’s put this idea in the forefront of our minds from now until the end of the weekend.  Each time we catch ourselves trying so hard, remind yourself to just be. If it helps, get a post-it note and stick it on your bathroom mirror, your front door, and your refrigerator door.  Let these post-its serve as a reminder to you.  I bet over time, we will start to get better at just being.

Happy Weekend!

About georgiegirlconfections

I've always dreamed of starting my own business one day. My struggle wasn't about how to do it, but instead, what I wanted to do. I realized how much I love baking - it is what I turn to when I am bored or stressed. There are so many things to create and so many ways in which to create them. I look forward to sharing my favorite treats with you.
